Two Marias, an artist and a curator, experiment with food in order to answer the following question: how happy can we be when we forget taste and focus on sight?

“Ευδαίμονες”
Ένας αυτοσχεδιαστικός μονόλογος από την ηθοποιό Δέσποινα Γκάτζιου (Το Πρόχειρο Θέατρο) με άξονα 2 κείμενα: το β’ στάσιμο της Αντιγόνης του Σοφοκλή και ένα απόσπασμα από το διήγημα «Το φονικό της Ιζαμπέλας Μόλναρ» του Δημήτρη Χατζή.
“The Blissful”
An improvised monologue performed by actress Despina Gatziou (The Makeshift Theater) with two texts as its axes: the second stanza in Sophocles' Antigone and an excerpt from the novel The Murder of Isabella Molnar, by Dimitris Chatzis.
“The Sound of Happiness”
Maria Papacharalambous and Achilleas Kentonis present works, videos, as well as the installation “The Sound of Happiness” – a machine that produces sound vortexes, invented by Achilleas Kentonis. The presentation includes open discussion with the audience.
Ένα αρχείο αποκομμάτων από άρθρα σε εφημερίδες και περιοδικά, σκέψεις άλλων ή της ίδιας της καλλιτέχνη, ακόμη και των παιδιών της, χρησιμεύουν ως ένας θησαυρός αποσπασματικών ιδεών, ως εναύσματα για ενδοσκόπηση. Τι αξία προσδίδει ο χρόνος στο προσωπικό αρχείο, όποιου χαρακτήρα, ιδωμένο μέσα από το στόχο της κατάκτησης της Ευτυχίας; Η καλλιτέχνις κάνει η ίδια μια ανασκόπηση, αναμόχλευση του δικού της αρχείου, συνειδητοποιώντας εκ των υστέρων το νόημα των λέξεων και των άρθρων που επέλεγε να φυλάει για 25 περίπου χρόνια. Το φαινομενικά ετερόκλητο αυτό πλήθος πληροφοριών, μέχρι τώρα αταξινόμητο και άρα δυσερμήνευτο, την οδήγησε στο δικό της «εδώ και τώρα». Ένας οδηγός ζωής που βρίσκει το νόημά του μόνο με το πέρασμα του χρόνου, αναδρομικά, στην κατάλληλη συνθήκη.

An archive of cutouts from articles in newspapers and magazines, thoughts of the artist or others, even her children, function as a rich repository of piecemeal ideas, as initiations into inner probing. What value does time impart anyone's personal archive when it is seen through the perspective of the discovery of happiness? The artist herself engages in a retrospection, a reexamination of her own archive, realizing the meaning of the words and articles she chose to keep for about 25 years. This seemingly heterogeneous miscellany of information, until now unclassified and therefore uninterpreted, led her to her own “here and now”. A life guide that is given meaning only with the passing of time, retrospectively, in the right circumstances.
